Even if you are the best driver you know, you can always learn more, become better and get some skills. Just like everything else in life, practice makes perfect. Whether it's golf, tennis, pool, poker, hockey, basketball, or... you get the point. The same is true of driving. A good coach and an environment to practice things you don't normally get to do will make you better, safer driver. Plus, it's fun!

Don't confuse these programs with driver license schools that merely teach you some of the rules of the road and how to parallel park. We are talking about real DRIVING skills, the kind that save lives and make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

There are two kinds of advanced driving schools - Teen Street Survival schools and Adult High Perfomance Schools. We found that there are very few options for teens, even though there is a lot of talk and many public awareness campaigns. If you can't find a Teen Street Survival School in your area, send us an EMAIL or fill out the form in our Custom School area. We will help you find a school and possibly bring the experience right to you. All you have to do is let the community know we're coming.

What to expect at a Street Survival School

Teens have needs different than people that have been driving for a while. A good school will focus on the skills. Everyone knows that speeding, drinking, cell phone use, etc are bad. Those things will get mentioned, but advanced driving instrutors tend to focus more on positive behaviour, rather than what not to do. Classroom session will consist of discussions on general attitude, seating, mirrors, hands, feet, awarenees and judgement. Outside the classroom, the students get to experience situations they couldn't otherwise legally experience on their own, all in a safe, controlled environment. They will slolom, learning smoothness, control and awareness. They will have a chance to really engage the brakes, even make them squeal! There will be evasive lane change exercises and braking while turning. In many cases, there will be a skid pad to help the students feel what a skid is like before they experience it out in the real World.
